IKEA Assessment Test

About Ikea

IKEA is the world’s largest furniture retailer and designs ready-to-assemble furniture. IKEA owns and operates 392 stores in 48 countries, and is headquartered in the Netherlands.

Application process

When applying to IKEA you will first be asked to send your CV and supply your basic details, contact information and availability to start work.

If your application is successful, they will usually contact you for a short interview on the phone, and then they usually invite you to an IKEA assessment day.

During this assessment day, you will usually be in a group of about 10 people, you will have to do both group tasks, which you will solve together, and individual tasks. These tasks will include standard psychometric tests, a case study, an interview and a personality test, depending on the deposition you applied for.

After the assessment usually two or three candidates are chosen based on the results of the assessment day, to go to the second round. In this stage, you will have a personal interview with a future manager.

After this, the third round usually consists of a personal interview between the most suitable candidate and the boss of your future manager, depending on the position you applied for. Here the interview is also focused on your motivation to work in IKEA.
