Ravens Progressive Matrices
This test assesses skills that are essential for professionals and managers. The Ravens Progressive Matrices measures nonverbal abilities, such as problem-solving, abstract reasoning and ability to learn. It is used for selection, high-potential identification, high-level technical and global staffing purposes. There are two versions of this test:
Standard Progressive Matrices (SPM)
The SPM test is designed for entry-level and mid-level job positions, contains 28 questions and lasts up to 47 minutes.
Advanced Progressive Matrices (APM)
The APM test is designed for senior management, contains 23 questions and lasts up to 42 minutes.
Candidates undertaking the Progressive Matrices test are required to analyze patterns in a series of diagrams. They need to select the correct diagram to fit that pattern in a missing space on the grid.
Rust Advanced Numerical Reasoning Appraisal (RANRA)
The Rust Advanced Numerical Reasoning Appraisal, or RANRA in short, measures mathematical and statistical reasoning abilities. The RANRA test is designed to test higher-level numerical skills, involving the capacity to deduce, interpret and evaluate information. The test consists of 32 items and lasts up to 30 minutes. It can be used as a stand-alone tool but is also used alongside the Watson-Glaser Critical Thinking Appraisal (W-GCTA) and Raven's Advanced Progressive Matrices.
The Watson-Glaser Critical Thinking Appraisal (W-GCTA)
The W-GCTA test assesses a candidate's skills of comprehension, analysis, and evaluation. The test measures the ability to look a situation and understand it from multiple perspectives while separating facts from opinions and assumptions. The test consists of 40 items and lasts up to 30 minutes.
Often, on many of the TalentLens tests, the overall score is not the only measured factor; speed, accuracy, and caution are alongside the number of correct scored answers.
The TalentLens Orpheus is a work-based measure of personality, designed to provide insight into a candidate's personality, assessing traits that will contribute to an individual's performance at work. The test assesses how candidates may integrate into teams, how they deal with stress and demand and the candidate-organizational fit. The Orpheus test is based on the Big 5 personality test model, and measures five dimensions, being fellowship, authority, conformity, emotion, and detail. Remember, personality tests are multiple-choice, not time-limited, and there are no right or wrong answers.
The SOSIE personality test is designed to identify a candidate's values system by measuring their values and personality traits. It measures eight traits which map on the Big Five factors (OCEAN), six interpersonal values (important when individuals interact) and six personal values, that are more internally focused. This test is necessary for employing organizations since traits and values are linked to job satisfaction, and the 'fit' to a job role or organizational culture offers insight into someone's motivation, job satisfaction, organizational commitment and ultimately performance.
The Situational Judgement Test is an online work simulation designed to assess candidates against a broad range of behaviors or skills that are required for adequate performance in a particular job role. The test is suitable for graduate, junior managerial, administrative, customer service, and sales positions. Candidates are placed in realistic work scenarios where they are required to deal with different situations that are likely to be faced in a particular job role. The test measures how effective a candidate's decision making and judgment skills are when confronted with the sort of situations they will routinely experience on the job. The IRIS Situation Judgement Test lasts up to 30 - 40 minutes.
